The Winchester family dwells on the paranormal. Ever since the death of his wife, John Winchester has hunted for and tracked down numerous beings not strictly human. Now his two sons, Dean and Sam are faced with continuing their father's quest and helping him or living seemingly normal lives. Coming back from college Sam knows something is very wrong, and that “normal” is about to take on a whole new meaning.
Unknown to the surrounding populace, the Wyrmin School of Magic has opened up in a sleepy town in Kansas, the Winchesters original home state. Those who hear the name, either belong there or think it's a school for wayward youth and specializes in teaching illusions and magic. Think of it as a charter school of sorts. It isn't often that muggles will hear of the school though, who would ever think to hide a magical school in a small town in the middle of nowhere? In truth, the school is an American extension of the London school for wizards: Hogwarts. Wyrmin is constructed and set up in a similar manner and style as the London counterpart, four houses and deductible points included; in fact, the town the school is housed in isn't entirely what it seems either. Almost the entire town is run by or housing wizards and witches, the shops and homes look harmless, but not everything is what it seems. Unlike the London sister however, Wyrmin faces trouble controlling their students and keeping control of the wilder magic users. People have started noticing the odd behaviors and going on's of the little town.
The rumors don't stop there however, and in fact are only the beginning of the troubles facing American small towns. In fact, even those associated with Wyrmin have started getting nervous about the circulating rumors as it has started bringing attention to them. Humans with a seemingly inexhaustible amount of energy, stronger than a normal man, and with unparalleled looks have been wreaking havoc on sleepy towns across the states. Many of whom have been spotted too close for comfort to Wyrmin. A breed of vampire with sharp fangs, and pale skin have been less than discreet as of late, and their hatred of shape shifters has begun an underground civil war of sorts that threatens to breach into the human world. Not all are bad however, many shifters have begun seeking help from their werewolf counterparts residing in the town around the Wyrmin school, and some vampires have sought help and refuge against the war as well. The vampires have begun dividing amongst themselves, those who refuse to kill have stuck to a diet of animal turning their eyes a bright gold, in comparison to their human blood drinking brothers who have scarlet red eyes.
This world of magic and chaos has begun attracting attention. Primarily the eye's of the Winchester's are left trying to understand what is going on across America. It's up to them to help the students, vampires, shifters, and werewolves who only want to live their lives in peace and figure out how to get rid of the ones trying to take over and control the human world. Killing off everything non-human takes more man-power and work than the Winchester's can control, but they can't just let the human race be wiped out either. Sometimes, being naïve isn't the best thing in the world, especially when that world is in jeopardy of being overrun by beings only found in the craziest of dreams and nightmares come to life.
